How do you thank someone from saving you from yourself?

i believe him to be the type of person that will just be a constant in my life, not as a relationship but someone who understands

She tries to fill the void in her with random guys and nights she cant remember but nothing will make her feel the way she did when she was with you. -desiree

I wanted to know everything about him, his favorite book, worst fears, things he loved, what got him mad, what made him tick, why his mom left, I wanted to know why he was always so far away, and I wanted to know all these things cause thats the only way I would be able to finish the 500 piece puzzle of him. And it wasnt til after, when my feelings got in the way and he hurt me did I take a step back and realize I looked too far into it. I saw he was only a 10 piece puzzle cause he himself didnt know who he was and how do you know someone who doesnt even know themselves
